Nature Portraits 

In this lesson, students create nature portraits using different art materials and techniques. The lesson is offered both virtually and in-person, providing flexibility to students. Students will learn about the elements of art and design, and develop their observational and artistic skills while creating expressive and meaningful nature portraits.

OBJECTIVE: Students will reflect on their own IDENTITY and be able to use a variety of PRINTMAKING and ASSEMBLAGE techniques to create a personal mixed media artwork inspired by Betye Saar’s Black Girl’s Window.
